Welsh Government Part-Time DBA Scholarships: Value-Based Health and Care Academy Scholarship – Tuition Fee Only
Due to a change in funding allocation, we are able to offer a limited number of full-fee scholarships specifically for Value-Based Health and Care researchers.
Swansea School of Management’s DBA is a part-time professional doctorate aimed at senior managers and leaders in the private, public, and non-profit sectors.
In this course, learners engage in applied research, applying established and cutting-edge theory to their practical organizational challenges. As well as contributing to our understanding of the theoretical foundation for the work, you will develop and enrich your practice in your field.
The structured approach offered by the Swansea DBA is based on six modules over three years, combining lectures, guest lectures, workshops, and student presentations. A doctoral supervisory team is assigned at the start of the programme to supervise the doctoral thesis development in parallel.
A Swansea School of Management DBA develops critical thinkers and practitioners who can reflect on their impact on their organizations and society at large.
Qualifications
It is normal for a DBA candidate to hold an undergraduate degree from an approved university and achieve a minimum of upper second (2:1) or equivalent. Additionally, applicants should hold a master’s degree or similar qualification from an approved university, or be pursuing one.
Applicants should have a minimum of five years’ experience in a senior role.
Candidates will be interviewed by two representatives of the program leadership team (normally including the program director) and must demonstrate the drive and intellectual aptitude to complete the DBA program.
