Canada Express Entry Latest Draw April 10, 2024
Canada Express Entry: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued invitations to candidates in the first draw of April through Express Entry. The department has recently issued 1,280 invitations to apply (ITAs) through a general draw. To be considered, candidates must have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 549.

Category-Based Express Entry
Category-based selection draws were implemented in May 2023 to help the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) effectively select Express Entry candidates with sought-after skills and human capital attributes. In 2023, the department introduced six categories, and it was announced earlier this year that these same categories will continue to be used in 2024. The categories are as follows:
- Healthcare occupations
- Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
- Trades occupations, such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors
- Transport occupations
- Agriculture and agri-food occupations
- Strong French proficiency
Candidates must already have an application in the Express Entry pool to be considered for category-based selection.
