- Possess French-language test results demonstrating a score of at least 7 across all four language competencies, as per the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).

Eligibility Requirements for Targeted Express Entry Draw in 2023
The IRCC has finalized new category-based selection criteria for Express Entry draws based on labor market projections and consultations with various stakeholders, including provincial and territorial governments. The new criteria include:
- French-language proficiency
- Healthcare Occupations
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) occupations
- Skilled Trade occupations
- Transport occupations (including Truck Drivers)
- Agriculture and agri-food occupations
You must also meet all the eligibility requirements for one of the three economic immigration programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). IRCC selects qualified candidates from the Express Entry pool based on specific categories.
