We are seeking a Property and Casualty Supervisor with 5 years’ P&C senior experience.

We are looking for a dynamic hands-on leader bringing with them five years of Senior level P&C experience and at least one year of leadership experience. This role will support our P&C Manager and lead, train, nurture our team of P&C Adjusters to provide outstanding service to our valued clients. This role will also be instrumental in the assisting of strategy development and implementation within the department, while working on a reduced claim load and attending file reviews and round table discussions. This is a senior desk role that needs someone strong in general liability and lawsuits, law enforcement experience would be helpful.

What you will also work on:

The Team Leader will assist in the management of the P&C adjusters’ day to day claim handling. Supervisory experience of at least 1 year is required.

Effectively communicate and give direction to team members, as well as evaluate and provide feedback of employees through 1:1 discussion.

Set up and monitor ongoing education for the employees.

Manage a caseload of 75 claims for assigned clients to allow time for leading the team.

Review and document reserve increase(s) above the adjusters’ reserve authority to a range of $150,000 to $250,000 depending on experience.

Review, document, and release payments up to the payment authority of $150,000 to $250,000 depending on experience.

Assist in quality reviews and feedback through direct supervisory reviews/audits in compliance with our Best Practices.

Assist with reviewing management reports regarding compliance initiatives of the team.

Attend file reviews and assists with presentations, our round-table discussions, as needed.

Management and coordination of outside vendor visits.

What we would like you to join us with:

At least five years as a senior adjuster is essential.

Strong claims acumen with a sold medical and legal claims background.

Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues and make sound decisions on claims.

Demonstrated adherence to Claims Best Practices and office initiatives.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills

Highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities.

Effective time management skills

The job requires commuting to the office, clients and/or other business partner locations.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Would like for you to have but not required:

Insurance industry advanced certification

Additional state licensures

Bachelor’s Degree, and/or equivalent

Salary Range $78,000 to $82,000 Pay will be based on experience. Position is full-time, exempt.

Core Hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

We work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as essential functions demand.

This is a hybrid position – in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday and remote the rest of the week but will go to 3 days a week soon.
