Brief description: The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship is being made available for new International undergraduate and postgraduate students who are applying to study taught PGDip or Masters of 120 points or more, or who are applying to study undergraduate degrees (with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications). Studies can be in any subject. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to attract new international students of high calibre to enrol in undergraduate or postgraduate study of 1 year or more at the University of Auckland.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Up to 50 Scholarships will be awarded bi-annually with each scholarship valued at up to $10,000, for postgraduate and undergraduate study.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be new international students who have received an unconditional offer, or English Language Academy (ELA) students who have received a conditional offer, of study to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma or Master (taught) of 120 points or more, or an undergraduate degree (applying with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications) at the University of Auckland. Applicants should generally have a grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00.

The basis of selection will be academic merit, the quality of the letter of application and endorsement by the applicant’s referee. The country of origin of the applicant may also be considered by the selection committee.

Application instructions:

Scholarship applications will usually open around 6 weeks before the closing date. The application deadline is 18 April 2024 for studies commencing July 2024 and 21 November 2024 for studies commencing in February 2025.
